The train rides covered about 80 kilometers distance and only took about an hour each. We laughed as the rain continued to pour down on the windows!
Our weather research showed Mulhouse was a bit warmer and rain would let up sooner.
When we arrived in Mulhouse, the sun poked out and we had a chance to enjoy this magical town. And change to French language which always takes a youthful mind to do! But, it was business for us. We had to find the Euro Velo map for France, and get a SIM card for the Tablet so we would have internet while in France.
We found the map book that went as far as Nevers, France. The SIM card took most of the day. Getting the correct one that can be initiated on the spot took more effort than we thought. We finally went to the provider directly, instead of the electronics store because the provider got all the settings and everything working.
It cost 39 Euro for 30 days of unlimited internet service.
Euro Velo 6 route passes right by the train station in Mulhouse. A campground is just 2 kilometers away in a large park. They had no food supplies or restaurant, so we planned to ride back into town for supper, but another rain storm hit hard so we ate our remaining salami and cheese for supper. We will have to wait one more day for that wonderful French cuisine!
